Here's the reality: Every month, 48 women are shot and killed in the U.S. by a current or former boyfriend or spouse.
And here's the solution: Common-sense gun laws that keep guns out of the hands of stalkers, domestic abusers and other dangerous people. We can reduce gun violence and save women's lives.
Thankfully, Senator Amy Klobuchar recently introduced a bill in the U.S. Senate to address this problem -- the Protecting Domestic Violence and Stalking Victims Act (S.1520), which would help keep guns out of the hands of domestic abusers.
S. 1520 would save women's lives by prohibiting domestic abusers and stalkers from buying or having guns.
It's a crucial measure that would make all women in America safer, and it's time to thank Senator Klobuchar for championing this life-saving legislation.
