This petition is to protest the parole of offender Rickie A. Crisp #117551.  Crisp is currently incarcerated in the Oklahoma Department of Corrections and will be considered for parole on the May 2007 docket.  It would be detrimental to the safety of society to parole this offender due to his lack of accountability and repeated behavior in the past.  If this offender is paroled, none of the children of the United States will be safe.  We ask that you, Governor Henry, reject any and all favorable decisions sent to you by the parole board.  It is our greatest fear that if this offender is released it will be at the cost of another child's innocence.  The justice system has failed his prior victims.  We ask of you to not allow this to happen again.  This offender was originally charged with heinous sex crimes against a child under the age of 13.  He was given a plea bargain and that agreement is what has allowed this offender to come up for parole every single year since 1995 on a 35 year sentence.  The victim services unit and parole board have said that this is due to the fact that he is not considered a violent offender.  That is apalling.  There is nothing that is not violent about being sexually assaulted.  Governor, you have children of your own, that is why we come to you ask you to not only protect the children in society but also your own.  Please do not allow this predator to be released into society.  The damage he has already done to his prior victim's is irreversible.  Do not allow her to be re-victimized again by the system.
