We, the undersigned, call on Congress and the State of California to permanently protect and preserve the remaining Fallow and Axis Deer (currently estimated to be approximately 180) in Point Reyes National Seashore, as a "Cultural and Historic Resource" for future generations, by adopting the recommendations of the HSUS for management not extermination.
We appreciate your attention regarding this urgent matter.

"I hope you will take this opportunity to implement strategies that value and cherish the amazing creatures with whom we share this world."
Thank you for calling a temporary halt to the killing of Fallow and Axis Deer in the Point Reyes National Seashore, but the National Park Service, having already killed 90% of the "non-native" deer in the last few months, has rejected the Humane Society of the United SCutates' white paper on non-lethal means of managing the population and are now resuming their plan to slaughter the entire population of exotic deer in the region. Immediate legislation is required to stop the NPS.
