Lawsuit Against Oil / Car Companies to put an end to smog
P.A.G.W. proposes P.A.S.S. People Against Smoggy Skys a $400 billion lawsuit against major oil companies and auto makers to get the oil / auto companies to make a major shift, minimum of $20 billion per year toward producing green bio fuel / cars & Electric vehicles / alternative energies / instead of the small percentage they do now. The lawsuit would require all oil / car manufactures to spend $200 billion over next 10 years on developing / marketing alternative energy resources and bio fuels and vehicles with little to zero harmful emissions. The other $200 billion would go to those who are inflicted with smog related repiratory conditions requiring medical costs.
NOTE : Richard Branson Founder of Virgin , out of good will and concern for environment, has pledged $3 billion over next 10 years to make the shift over to green- bio fuels which he plans on running his fleet of air planes with and to market the bio - fuel to make a return on investment. Oil and car companies can also make a ROI from the green fuels and Electric / bio fuel hybrid cars mass produced eliminating passing the cost to consumers by raising gas prices or charging high prices for the alternative fuel cars. A minimum 10% increase per year also should be applied to R & D / marketing of these alternative fuels / cars / solar energys over next 10 years till smog and harmful emissions are phased out. $20 billion per year spread out over the several oil / car companies worldwide with the larger companies footing more of the costs should be within their budget without devastating economic drawbacks considering Exxon, the world's largest publicly traded oil company , posted record earnings of $10.5 billion in the third quarter, or $1.77 per share on revenue of $99.6 billion.
P.A.G.W. believes there is this nearly 11,000,000 sq mi record size hole in Ozone due to being at least 20 years behind in the production of green alternative fuels / energy / products. The Montreal Protocol enacted in 1987 failed to fully ban other emissions used to make products aside from CFC's and is obvious now it failed to steer big business to take the major step it should have in switching over to environmentally safe energy / products. With the world population estimated to reach 7 billion by 2011 and signs of global warming / melting ice caps it is clear that major steps must be taken toward as near a pollution free environment as possible. Top research scientist warn that Co2 emsiions need to be drastically reduced within next 10 years. We can not allow big business to gamble with all life on earth so they can die with the most $. The billions they have made at the cost of many lives and pain and suffering of 100's of thousands over the last century should be invested in a future that will give back to those now suffering due to their smog producing products and to make for an environment on earth that has clean air to breath and that is pollution free as possible.
