Canada's annual commercial seal hunt is a cruel and unethical practice that produces a product nobody needs. 98 percent of the animals killed in the past two years have been baby seals between 2 weeks to 3 months old. And despite the potentially devastating effects of global warming to harp seal breeding grounds, the Canadian government has raised the annual seal hunt quotas to the highest levels in history.

As caretakers of this planet you sure do a poor job of preserving life. As the higher species we should stop acting like wild animals. Animals kill to eat and to survive. We kill for pleasure, greed, and to make our lives easier. Stop the needless, senseless, inhumane slaughter of these creatures. Animals have a hard enough time surviving in the wild. They do what comes natural to them for survival in the wild. Why do you do it?

This annual hunt is reasonless and ridiculous. Since we all know about the reduced ice coverage means reduced breeding ground for the seals, I think continuing this hunt will never produce anything necessary. The environment and the creatures inside it should be PROTECTED instead of destroyed like this.
