The Western Capercaillie is a woodchicken bird and it is so big that it is hard to get into the owen. This is like a big Nature Turkey in USA. The tail is very large and it spread it at heating time and also if it will be scared something.
Once happened that in the wood where I lived next to the wilderness I walked there and it panicked, I didn't know it is there. Next day the Old leading cat took me to the window and show...the Western Capercaillie was on my yours with spreaded tail; it was there a good while. Sometimes they attack people.
The body is 50-90 Cm so big it is. They like to be in old Virgin woods and the area where the swamps are near it. My place was just kind it.
