End Genocide in Darfur Through Multilateralism

Such a carrot-and-stick approach can work -- but only if President Obama backs it up with a multilateral strategy. He should start with China, a country that holds deep influence over the Khartoum government and should be his first ally in achieving peace in Sudan.
Urge President Obama to use his upcoming visit to China to address the problems in Darfur.

Thank you for speaking out on your position with regard to the genocide in Darfur. I support your carrot and stick approach to dealing with Khartoum, but I expect you to follow it up with multilateral engagement. Your upcoming visit to China is the perfect time to begin such dialogues.
I hope that you will urge China to use their political and economic influence to push for peace in Sudan. China has the power to work with Khartoum to implement the Comprehensive Peace Agreement and bring about the systematic reforms the country so desperately needs.
