Reform child support laws, collection, & enforcement! Make absentee parents TRULY financially accoun

Each year several children are born, and although two people created them, often times only one parent is left to bare the financial responsibility (along with ALL of the other responsibilities of raising a child) alone, while the other parent simply gets to CHOOSE whether, or not they will support the child financially (or in any other form). This strains the remaining parent, who often times will end up petitioning local, state, & federal agencies for assistance in the care of these children, who in actuality, should be receiving support from the absent parent! This places economic strain on the government, & the remaining parent, while the absent parent lives without any financial obligation to the child. If the present parent must be accountable, & the government must be accountable (to & for the children), then shouldn't there be more aggressive laws in place to seek out those who owe the children support!? The government would also be relieved of its role as provider, & could also receive back some of what it has given my means of aid to the parent raising the child! Why is this issue important to me? Because I am a single mother, & I along with millions of other women & men struggle to provide for my children. It should not be so! If I must work and be accountable then so must the other parent (if they are of sound mind and able in body)! The circumstances into which children come into the world are varied, however once they are here the two people that created them are responsible for their care! Help me raise the bar & force law makers into the examination of child support laws, collection, and enforcement!
