| 795 | 1:47 pm PDT, Jul 2 | Mr. | Mark G | Male | Panama City | United States | I understand that the world can not be love and flowers and that we do have a the need for wars but it has been 7 years, we don't wanna be there, they don't want us there, and the rest of the world is looking at us thinking we are evil. The U.S. used to be a proud and noble country but we have turned into 1700 England, the Patriot act, insane taxing, isn't this exactly why people left England to come to the free world. We are sending our loved ones to go across the ocean, die in a place they are not welcome........and for what? What good is coming from this? How did this go from retaliation to Sept. 11 to "let's set up a whole new government in Iraq"? How can we set up a stable government when our own country doesn't have the system down right. This war isn't just the blind leading the blind, it's the blind leading the blind off a cliff to the jagged rocks below. I will sign any petition that get's the our U.S. soldiers out of Iraq, and back home with the people who miss them. I thank God the draft is not in effect where I would have to choose between my country and what I believe is right. |

| 782 | 9:28 am PDT, Sep 7 | Ms. | Anonymous | Female | Anytown | United States | I will not stand with you. Liberals have a double edged sword. Firstly, they complain because we ever went to war in Iraq. They say:" oh, it's just typical of the rich cowboy Americans policing the entire world, and trying to force democracy on other countries, and on the same token liberals are wanting the USA to go into Dafur. In the case of Dafur, liberals are saying:" oh, it's just typical of the rich cowboy American's not wanting to help countries like Dafur, being opressed by an extremist government or terrorist groups! The USA and our great President are damned if we do and damned if we do not. I whole heartedly believe that we must now stay the course, because if we pull out, the bleeding heart liberals will say:" oh, this is just typical of the rich cowboy American starting something, and then not finishing it. Lily |
| 781 | 7:01 pm PDT, Aug 30 | Ms. | Simone Hall | Female | Mackay | Australia | There is no reason for America's military to occupy Iraq. It's an embarassment to have George Bush as a son, father, friend, associate, leader and President |

I still have friends in the service and they all say the same thing, but for fear of sounding like they dont love there country they dont say anything, so to all these people who think this war is a great thing, I would say you better do some research on 911 and I mean some RESEARCH, you can find alot of interesting HOLES in the government's version of the trade center and pentagon attacks and you can start at www.findtheboeing.com and www.prisonplanet.com both are very good at showing what alot of people are afraid to know or are unwilling to face, that is all I have to say, God Bless Our troops and God Bless this wonderful country we call home. |

No To War Against Iraq
We the undersigned believing that neither United nations Security Council resolution 687(1991) nor any subsequent resolutions authorize military action against Iraq, including resolution 1368 (2001) adopted in response to the terrorist attacks in America on 11 September, as no evidence exists linking the perpetrators of those attacks to the Iraqi Government;
Concerned also that any military action against Iraq would have massive and disastrous repercussions in the Middle Ease region;
Concerned that all aspects of human society must be enshrined in any decisions taken;
Call upon the Prime Minister and the British Government to work tirelessly in the Security Council to
· End forthwith those economic sanctions against Iraq which are contributing to the unnecessary and tragic suffering of so many Iraqis as shown in UNICEF and other United Nations reports;
· Secure agreement for the weapons inspectors of the United Nations Monitoring and verification Inspection Commission (UNMOVIC) to enter and complete its inspections without further let or hindrance;
· Ensure that no military action is taken against Iraq without the Council’s explicit authorisation and then only as a last resort if the Iraqi Government refuses to admit UNMOVIC inspectors;
· Investigate Saddam Hussein and those around him for alleged war crimes against humanity and, if a case is found to exist, indict them and establish an international criminal tribunal to try them.
