Reverse Dangerous Environmental Budget Cuts

Massive layoffs have left the Newfoundland and Labrador Wildlife Federation without the proper resources to combat rampant poaching.

Without any consultation, the government cut 50% of the department's work force. Considering that one in four people in the nation's population is a big or small game hunter, the cuts make it impossible to effectively enforce rules or catch poachers.

The government crippled the region's environmental agency for budgetary reasons, but protecting endangered wildlife should be part of the budget!

Tell the federal government to reinstate the officers who protect wildlife and endangered species.
I am writing to urge you to reconsider the drastic budget cuts to the Newfoundland and Labrador Wildlife Federation.

Considering that one in four people in Canada is a big or small game hunter, the cuts make it impossible to effectively enforce rules or catch poachers.

The office was not consulted at all before the devastating cuts were made. Please give them the chance to appeal before irreversible damage is done.
