Tell Congress to Keep Fighting for Children's Healthcare

Unless Congress passes SCHIP, 10 million children will lose their health coverage.

The SCHIP expansion bill would reach out to the growing number of uninsured children in this country and make sure they get access to the healthy start they deserve.

The House and Senate made a historic, bipartisan compromise when they passed the State Children's Health Insurance Program (SCHIP) bill. But in a rare veto, President Bush took it away.

Although the House fell just a few votes short of the votes needed to override the President's veto, it was a close vote and our fight to bring health coverage to 10 million American children is not over. Congress will continue to bring this up until the bill is passed.

Our children count on us to protect them. We expect our elected leaders to remember that.

Now is the time to fight even harder for the health of America's children! Urge Congress to counter the President's veto by passing the SCHIP bill.
