As world citizens concerned with the protection of the most basic human right, the right to life, we urgently call upon the government of the Russian Federation, and upon Russian President Putin, to immediately use the minimum necessary military force to protect the Ukrainian Russian-speakers and other residents of the east Ukrainian cities of Lugansk, Donetsk, and other areas under threat from the current Ukrainian government regime in Kiev.
The current Ukrainian regime based in the city of Keiv , is waging a bloody campaign in eastern Ukraine to quash those Russian-Speaking and other Ukrainians who oppose its rule. This regime was installed this year via a violent coup spearheaded by the two neo-fascist party's, Svoboda and Right Sector.
The military campaign in eastern Ukraine is semi-genocidal, involving the intensive bombing and artillery bombardment of civilian areas of the cities of Lugansk and Donetsk, with deaths, injuries, and tremendous suffering mounting by the day.
To prevent a full-scale humanitarian disaster, it is imperative that the minimum necessary Rissain military forces be deployed without delay to protect the lives and other basic human rights of civilians in Eastern Ukraine.
