The petition helps us see beyond the problems we personally meet in our own lives, to hear the voices of those less privileged, and to feel a growing sense of trust in humanity.

For something new -- especially, new and positive -- to happen would require something very special.	Of course. Our current instability IS our stability.	What makes you think that 'sustainability,' 'ecology' and 'peace' are so great? My own vision is quite different -- but I know that there is a convergence, even with people very different from myself, and that is what I seek.

I really believe that human kind is on the threshhold of a kind of awakening. We will become more intouch with who we are, our perpose, and our environment. Sadly, the likelihood of major natural disasters seems highly likely with our increasingly unstable environment.	We seem to be approaching a critical moment in history as the situation in the middle east becomes increasingly fragile and unpredictable; how this will impact on politico-economic stablity over the next 20 years is diffcult to predict	In some ways it is more likely to be achieved in the next 20 years than it was in the last 50.

2020worldpeace is a call to self-organisation, to allow ourselves the imaginative space to imagine an ecologically sustainable solution for all of us, to make this planet our home.

This growing petition may be used to foster trust in those who are skeptical, who are trapped by their judgements and can not see beyond the myriad of problems which face humanity.

A linear plan, a political agenda, a religious dogma will not provide worldpeace. Only in our hearts, in our intention, as normal, well-meaning people, can we build a future which all our children will be thankful for.
