Please help our Cold One Chariot leaderships…

Playing Warhammer is the most joyous thing for me and a group of enthusiast friends in our local game club. However, much investment is to be made to play the particular game. Thus, fair ruling and fair gaming applies to make the game more enjoyable to play.

There are 15 races to play currently. However, there is only 1 race that stands out above the rest. They are the Dark Elves (DE). To me, DE has good looking models compared with the rests. Just like me, there are thousands of DE players worldwide. In addition, there are 9.346 registered users in d.net alone. Again, there are unregistered users and one time buyers that love to paint. However, for some of us DE players, it gets frustrating when playing using Cold ones. Again and again, stupidity rules apply to Cold ones unit as such that a winning combat became a loosing defeat after a stupidity tests above its leadership value. On the other hand, GW has increased our unit of Cold one Knight to have Ld9. Thus, giving it a good, well balance play… However, there is another unit that needs reviewing. Such unit is Cold One Chariot (COC), chariot unit that we treasure the most. http://uk.games-workshop.com/darkelves/miniature-gallery/11/ . The COC costs 95pt. and compared with their He cousins, Tiranoc chariot only costs 85pt and suffers from no stupidity. Further, it has M9” and charge 18”. Moreover, it could add 2 additional steeds for 7pts compared with Dark steeds that cost 12pt… Statistically, a LD 8 means there are 10 occurrences above 8 when you are rolling with 2 dice. Thus, giving (8/36= 0.28 or 28% or close to 1/3 occurrences that stupidity would occurs). In addition, a LD 9 means that there are 6 occurrences above 9. Thus, giving (6/36= 0.17 or 17% chance of loosing). Better odds of winning and a much fairer game play.

Currently, the chariot is ridden with 2 beast masters. Compared with Cold One Knights, they are merely just beast masters. Thus, to give it much better performance if a beast master is to be accompanied with an apprentice-noble birth warrior. Thus, giving it Ld9 compared with its current state. In addition, it wouldn’t hurt DE players to be able to carry 4 cold ones rather than 2 in one chariots for a few points higher than 7pt HE steeds. In addition, I recall that there are 2 scythes on its wheel. Thus, it would make perfect sense to have 2+ on the impact hit rather than 1+.

In conclusion, fair ruling needs to further evolve to make this game balance and fun for everyone. Again, let us make petition to GW and the games developer “Gav Thorpe” to replace 1 beast master in the chariot to an apprentice noble that has Ld9 to increase the probability of passing stupidity tests. Thus, further investments should be made toward buying more and more DE miniatures. Hopefully, fair ruling and fair gaming applies to make the game more enjoyable to play.

Please visit the site and sign the petition. Hopefully, we could kick our opponents butt with our new and improve chariots…
