Please sign and share this petition worldwide in an effort to shut down this dog grooming shop that was noted with cruel and inhumane practices in its past. Past or present, hanging a dog is not acceptable treatment of an animal you are supposed to love and give it a beautiful, comforting new look.

The Olga Dog Spa in Wilmington, NC, also known as the Wilmington pet grooming business has failed many state inspections, especially after a dog was found photographed and hanging in the facility. Ever since that incident, the shop no longer grooms animals but still boards them. Olga explains that the dog in the photo was wearing a harness and unharmed! And it was a thing of the past! So?? Her point is???

Because they no longer perform grooming services, Olga’s Spa is not subjected to further state inspections, which is absurd. Just between 2008 and 2011, Olga’s Dog Spa failed six North Carolina Department of Agriculture inspections for various violations, such as keeping proper records, keeping up with repairs to gates and windows and other parts of the facility. She also did not keep up with cleanliness and built-up feces on wooden floors, ramps and in the exercise yard where dogs frequented.

There is no excuse for these violations and this woman is not professional and/or compassionate enough to care for animals in any capacity. Please sign and share this petition worldwide in an effort to shut down this dog grooming shop that was noted with cruel and inhumane practices in its past. Past or present, hanging a dog is not acceptable treatment of an animal you are supposed to love and give it a beautiful, comforting new look.

North Carolina Department of Agriculture – The Olga Dog Spa is not fit to care for animals! The owner has clearly shown her failure as a professional by all of the faulty inspections on her business and facility. The worst was the hanging dog. This is something that became public, but can you imagine the treatment of the animals we as the public are not aware of. Someone with such a reputation and failed inspections does not deserve to be in business. Close her down and save the lives of animals that could be subjected to her poor handling!!
