You should sign this because you shouldn't have to walk past a cloud of cigarette smoke to get into a grocery store, local business or public building. You shouldn't have to close the windows to your own home in the beautiful Fall weather so your next door neighbor can light up a nasty cigarette on their deck. If you are a smoker and want to smoke, I believe you should only be able to do so inside your home or car with the doors & windows closed...PERIOD, no where else.
I believe that if you smoke, you are damaging your health and the health of EVERYONE around you, including neighbors and people you don't even know. Here is a video, aptly named..."When you smoke, They Smoke". Powerful, wouldn't you say?

The Tobacco Control Act requires the following nine textual warning statements to appear on cigarette packages and in cigarette advertisements:
- WARNING: Cigarettes are addictive.
- WARNING: Tobacco smoke can harm your children.
- WARNING: Cigarettes cause fatal lung disease.
- WARNING: Cigarettes cause cancer.
- WARNING: Cigarettes cause strokes and heart disease.
- WARNING: Smoking during pregnancy can harm your baby.
- WARNING: Smoking can kill you.
- WARNING: Tobacco smoke causes fatal lung disease in nonsmokers.
- WARNING: Quitting smoking now greatly reduces serious risks to your health.
When someone smokes and that smoke permeates to someone else, I believe this should be considered an ASSAULT, and should be classified as such under the statutes within each state.
Let's start a movement to get smoking banned outside. My theory is...since I am a non-smoker...I am not affecting anyone by not smoking. Those who smoke are affecting EVERYONE by smoking. Are you with me? Sign this petition and pass it on!
