Shane Goelet guilty of beheading cat, mutilated, dismembered and eaten.
Shane Goelet should get the maximum of three years jail term for being guilty of beheading cat, mutilating, dismembering and eaten. Goelet pled guilty to felony charges on the condition that he not be sent to state prison. Goelet initially pled not guilty to the charges of felony animal cruelty but changed his plea after he was able to secure a commitment from Judge Terence Boren that he would not sentenced to a state prison, says District Attorney Ed Berberian.
Goelet is scheduled for sentencing on May 13, and the judge will have a lot of leeway in determining his sentence, Berberian said, noting that he could face up to a year in the county jail, a fine of up to $10,000, or at the very least, probation.
We petition that he serve the maximum
sentence for this abuse and death crime to the cat.
