Hi, my name is Shawna and I come to you with a very important topic.
Animal abuse.
I know you hear about this all the time with organizations such as PETA, but come to you with so much more.
China has slaughtered all 50,546  dogs in a south-west part of their country after only 3 people had died from rabies. Only 3 people. I know that every life counts, but why have such a violent act of hate form only a couple deaths? I know their not human, but their lives count too.
In only five days time officals mercilessly beat over 50,000 dogs to their death. Some owners, while even walking their pets in public, were forced to hand their dogs over and watch them be clubbed to death.

Other dog owners took matters into their own hands, poisoning or electrocuting their pets, being paid $0.60 (£0.32) for each dog so they wouldnt be in the hands of another at their time of death.

Even the 4,000 dogs that had been immunised against rabies were put to death in case the vaccines were not effective.

Officals went so extreme that they set up roadside checkpoints to ensure that no dogs had escaped.

The only dogs that were spared from this horrible fate were police and military dogs.
"The local government ordered the cull following an outbreak of rabies." The cull. More like murder. They slaughtered them, beating them with clubs as they heard the dogs cry out, showing no mercy.

China has a very poor record of animal protection, there are no laws to prevent cruelty to pets.

But it is recorded that the the country has laws protecting endangered species, sadly there are no regulations to protect other animals, including pets.

Which is why I am creating this petition, for you to sign and help spare another life.
