President Bush: Why I am not voting for you in 2004

Throughout his term, the Bush Administration has repeatedly said one thing to the American public, but done something very different. From speaking pro-environment while rolling back key environmental protections, to placing the interests of his polluting-industry cronies ahead of the public's interest in clean air and clean water , to misusing science for his own political objectives.
As we move closer to Election Day 2004, here are some environmental reasons we're not voting for President Bush in 2004. Have more reasons? Add your own in the comment fields below!
Environmental Reasons We Support Kerry over Bush For President:

Environmental Reasons We Support Kerry over Bush For President:
- Bush supports the importation and sale of some of the most endangered species in the world. History has shown that putting a price on an animal's head never serves to protect it in the long run.
- Bush has threatened our historic Clean Water Act by telling the EPA and Army Corps of Engineers staff to stop enforcing Clean Water Act protections for many of the nation’s wetlands, ponds, and streams.
- Bush dropped out of the Kyoto treaty, and then failed to offer alternative solutions that address and attempt to slow global warming, despite ominous warnings from scientists around the world, and even the Pentagon.
- Bush received the first ever failing grade on the League of Conservation Voters' Presidential Report Card for his abysmal environmental record.
- Kerry has fought to protect our environment and our health. His exceptional lifetime score of 92% on the League of Conservation Voters National EnvironmentalScorecard demonstrates his unsurpassed leadership on clean air, safe drinking water and a healthy environment.

It appears you stand for everything evil. If it's good you're against it. You call for war on false pretenses(weapons of mass destruction, refuse to end the war, you are "pro oil drilling in Alaska"(what about the animals' habitats that will be devastated), and you refuse to listen to the scientists about global warming just to name a couple of things. I'm sure the list of your "negatives" would fill a book. I can only hope the next President is a more caring, compassionate one. All politicians should remember that the people put you in office and the people can take you out of office.

Well, this petition is outdated, but I did not vote for him in 2004 and I knew what kinds of trouble having him in office for four more years was going to do to our great country (I would have thought that the first four years would have given ALL of us a clue!). Now let's just hope we can get some replacements for the people we have in the House and Senate for 2006!

Since you've taken office, our country has sunk to new lows while our deficit is rising to outrageous new highs, too many of our and Iraq's men and women are dieing because of your and your cabinet’s lies while you and yours are proving yourselves to be war profiteers! It's a disgrace that you call yourself a Christian when it's clear that you are simple a dry drunk, just as mean and shallow as you were when drinking. Our Country was not built to be governed by one religion and you’re doing Christianity no good by trying to force our country to bow down to it. I could go on and on about your short comings, but that would take too long and it’s time to make changes in both Houses of Congress to bring back balance in out government! You will be out soon, not soon enough, and it’s time to start repairing the damage you’ve done to our nation and its reputation world wide.
