Help Girls Who are Trapped in the Daulatdia Brothel

Daulatdia brothel in Bangladesh is the size of a small town, home to 1500 female sex workers and close to a thousand children. Most of the bonded sex workers (a form of slavery) are underage. Some of the girls have been kidnapped, others were sold to madams, but many more were born at the brothel. Some children as young as three years old are forced to fetch alcohol and drugs and clean up their mothers' rooms.

Samreen's Story

Samreen grew up in the Daulatdia brothel. When she was very young, she would be hidden under the bed when clients came. When she was older, she would play outside in the dark until she could go home. On nights she was afraid to go outside, she pretended to be asleep and tried not to listen.

The average age girls become sex workers is 14. Samreen is now 10. She is living outside the brothel and goes to school. Her dream is to become a doctor.

Her education is Samreem's escape, and every girl like her should get that chance.

Take action today, and pledge to help save children like Samreem and others from the Daulatdia brothel.
