Save the Spotted Hyena

End the slaughter of spotted hyenas! The hyena is a highly intelligent, and loyal, animal that deserves protection.
The goal of this petition is to stop the slaughter of innocent hyenas for sport. Although the spotted hyena is not yet recognized on the endangered species list, it has already been exterminated from parts of South Africa. The hyena is a very admirable animal. Hyenas are intensely loyal towards each other, as they will defend each other from
danger. They are clean animals, despite their rather messy appearance. Like other carnivores, hyenas aid the balance of nature
by hunting prey such as wildebeest, gazelle and zebra. Hyenas waste very little of their kills, consuming everything but hair and
bone.
Like other animals, the hyena has a right to live the life that nature intended. If enough people sign the petition to end hyena
murder, perhaps they will be spared in the future.
