Please sign and share this petition worldwide as we speak out loudly to Florida regarding all the recent animal abuse that left one dead and two severely injured. Most of you have heard of the poor dog that was shot and then placed on an active railroad track, but in the same state, another dog was hung and dragged by its owner, tossed in a pond because it soiled the owners "trailer" while another dog was also beat severely by its owner, resulting in broken leg and hemorrhage of the eye. These cruelty cases will continue unless lawmakers step up, with better regulations and accountabilty!!

The news continue to evolve around poor innocent animals that are faced with such cruel situations and such actions will not stop unless lawmakers step up with laws, rules and regulations that will protect these poor beings. Dogs rely on humans most often for their survival, but these same humans who claim to love and protect them, turn on them because they can!!! It is only a coward that would turn on an animal and abuse it because they know they can. That is part of the problem!!

All the stories in this petition revolve in the state of Florida and two of these three incidents suffered but did survive; one did not. The first is the story of a monster in Davenport who beat his young dog because it made a mess in the trailer. First, he asked his neighbors if they had a gun to shoot the animal but no one seemed to take it seriously and call authority. This poor dog paid the ultimate price when it was found hanging from a tree by a rope around its neck. This wonderful owner did not stop there! He dragged the dog on the ground behind his ATV and then dumped its body in a nearby pond. This owner just got out of jail on charges of domestic violence, a concealed weapon, parole violations, burglary and larceny. And he was allowed to own a pet that never had a chance!!!

The next story comes from Citrus County, where a dog was allegedly beat by its owner with such force that the dog's leg is broken and his eyes are hemorrhaged. The final story most of us have heard of where a dog was shot, placed on an active railroad track and left to die in Tampa. Luckily, the dog was discovered on the tracks in time and is on the mend. In the final case, no one has been held accountable.

What we are trying to accomplish in this petition is to speak out to lawmakers in the State of Florida and demand stronger laws and regulations for the health and well-being of all animals. These laws not only need to be implemented, but extremely enforced with accountability for any and all offenders - until this happens, animals are in danger of abuse and cruelty by their owners and others. You can help us to achieve our goals and help these animals by speaking out in their honor through signing and sharing this petition on every possible media site. Please, let us all work together to save animals from such abusive individuals.

Florida State Lawmakers - You need to implement and enforce much stronger stricter laws regarding and stopping animal abuse and cruelty throughout the entire state. Unless this happens, animals will continue to be subjected to such cruel and abusive treatment, not only by people responsible for their well-being but others who view animals as objects that they clearly don't like. Your new laws regarding the ownership, care, adoptiability and respondibility of animals should include such stipulations as -

• First and foremost, all breeders, pet specialists and shelters should not allow the adoption of an animal without going through a thorough screening of a prospective owner (such as the incident with this past criminal who killed his young dog). Obviously if he was in domestic abuse with a human, who says he would not harm an animal. Such criminals should not even be allowed to adopt an animal when they clearly don't intend to live a good life in society. That poor dog received the death sentence from the moment it was allowed in his care. Make sure all adoptions and pet sales go through a thorough screening process.
• Encourage free seminar and meetings within the community on animal cruelty and abuse, led by the local ASPCA.
• Employ more police and animal control officers to investigate and intervene in animal cruelty.
• Enforce your laws with harsher penalties for offenders and animal abusers such as more severe fines, extended jail times and ban any abuser and violator from ever owning, working with or caring for another animal, EVER!!

Please ensure the health, safety and welfare of all animals throughout your state. Help!!!!
