We, the undersigned American Citizens, request that our House of Representatives and our Senate expediently ban horse slaughter in the United States.
In 2006, the House voted to ban horse slaughter for human consumption with a vote of 263 to 146, but yet the Senate ignored thousands upon thousands of faxes, phone calls and letters to bring S. 1915 to a vote. Americans want horse slaughter to end now!
Thousands of people have been working diligently to stop horse slaughter in the United States. American citizens have given their time and money to end this atrocity in our country, and we no longer want our country to be associated with this barbaric and inhumane practice that only benefit very few in the United States and Europe.
The American people are depending on our Representatives and Senators, to listen to the voice of the people in 2007. It is time to end "America's Dirty Little Secret"!
