Develop the upcoming game Batman: Arkham Knight for Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and Wii U

The Arkham series of games have been a staple of modern video games ever since Batman: Arkham Asylum came out in 2009. This series' intuitive style of gameplay (fully established in Batman: Arkham City) has immersed its players in a whole new world of adventure, and loyal fans (such as myself) have stuck with it from the beginning. Now, unfortunately, the Arkham series is ending with the highly anticipated Batman: Arkham Knight, to be released later this year (2014). This game looks REALLY good. The sequel to Arkham City, Knight focuses on an all-out war between batman and his enemies in Gotham, and definitely has many surprises in store for us. However, Rocksteady Studios and Warner Bros. Games have chosen to release this possible game of the year for the Xbox One, the Playstation 4, and the PC. Asylum was for PS3, Xbox 360, PC, and later Mac. City was for PS3, Xbox 360, PC, and later Mac and Wii U. Arkham Origins, the prequel to Asylum, was for PS3, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS4, Wii U, PS Vita, PC, and 3DS. When the final installment in this epic series is for Xbox One and PS4, a mistake has been made. The loyal followers that distinguished Asylum from the awful predecessor Batman: Dark Tomorrow played on the Xbox 360 and PS3, some of the highest selling game consoles of all time, whose sales (both at 80 million) far surpass PS4's 6 million and Xbox One's 4 million. We, with our Xbox 360s, PS3s, and even Wii U's (I definitely have one) have been there since the beginning, not the so-called "next gen" consoles. The 360, PS3 and Wii U WERE the next gen consoles, and I am positive of the fact that Arkham Knight could run very well on all of them. Only 10 million worldwide have Xbox Ones and PS4s. 166 million (including the Wii U) have Xbox 360s, PS3s, or Wii Us. Call me crazy, but I dont think that the recently introduced consoles have the right to be the only consoles to have this game developed on. And I dont think that sales will skyrocket from those who have these consoles, many of whom probably arent Arkham Fans! The Xbox 360, PS3 and Wii U DESERVE to have these games, much more than the Xbox One and the PS4 deserve to. Not only would fans be overjoyed and sales skyrocket, but many more people would have access to this probably amazing game. So please, if you have an Xbox 360, PS3 or Wii U, or even if you have an Xbox One of PS4, take a minute and sign this petition. We AND our consoles are worthy of this game that Rocksteady exclusively ported to the One and PS4. All it takes are signatures, and we could experience this game, the finale of the series that we all love so much.

Dear Rocksteady Studios,
I have been a massive fan of the Arkham Series ever since Batman: Arkham Asylum hit the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3. I quickly beat the game, collected the trophies, and eagerly awaited the arrival of Batman: Arkham City. I expected more of the same, which was fine by me. However, Arkham City took the series to blinding heights that I could never had imagined were possible to reach in this series of games. Arkham City is one of my favorite games of all time, and has made the series one of my favorites of all time, as well. I anticipated Arkham Origins, which did not disappoint, and now I anticipate Arkham Knight. However, I was most disappointed to hear that the conclusion to this amazing series would not be available on the consoles that the rest of the series had been on: namely, Xbox 360, Playstation 3, and Wii U. I own all, save for the PS3. During the countdown to Arkham Knight, Rocksteady has announced that the game was to be rated M for mature. Most fans, including myself, were fine with that: we did not expect that a Batman game was to recieve this rating, but we were still excited nonetheless. I am sure that this was to provide a fuller gameplay experience and story. I can also guess that this is the very reason why Rocksteady has decided to make the game exclusive to Xbox One, Playstation 4, and PC. Some aspects of the game, such as the batmobile and the next-gen graphics, would definitely not make the trip to the last-gen consoles. However, some aspects definitely would. The gameplay. The story. The new mechanics. The overall experience. That's what the 200 signers of my petition want. The experience of ending this legendary franchise the way it should: not by purchasing gaming PC's or next-gen consoles for five hundred dollars or more to buy a single game, but to experience the game, with or without next-gen graphics. The signers of this petition have made abundantly clear that they would not mind in the slightest if the graphics were tamped down for a port to the last-gen consoles. We don't even need the full "batmobile experience", as Rocksteady refers to it (scripted levels in which only the batmobile is usable would more than suffice, but I am sure that we don't even need the batmobile to enjoy this game). There are so many ways that Rocksteady could tamp down Knight for a port to older consoles, and yet, they don't. They don't because they expect us to fork over $500 for one game, which the signers have made clear that they are not willing to do. Not to mention that sales of the Xbox 360, PS3, and Wii U vastly outnumber those of the Xbox One and PS4. A port would make considerable profit from the more than 160 million in possession of last-gen consoles. A slightly tamped down version of the game would rake in even more profit to add to sales on next-gen consoles and PCs, and satisfy rabid fans' cravings to finish this beloved series. All in all, I don't see a downside.

Thanks again for all the faith you've put in this stupid petition. I saw another petition that I urge all of you to sign (mostly because it has more signatures) but also because we need to band together to get this done. So let's get out there and drive the batmobile.
