Myriads of consumers take great pride in annually celebrating this meaningless national past time with their kids that is no less obsolete than Santa Clause, Boogie Man, Pinocchio, Mother Goose crap like that instead of participating in more productive and healthy events like learning self defense, getting in shape through weight lifting, martial arts, painting, signing petitions, learning new language, learning about the benfits of vegetarianism or any other healthy activity for that matter etc...It's also pointless consumerism, because it targets primarily children since children bring parents and parents bring money. Think about this. Why the hell are we celebrating an acitivty that promotes virtually zero nutritional value? An activity whose main focus is for kids to collect complete garbage from complete strangers. Chips, candy, soft drinks are a complete waste. They don't belong on our table! On a side note, apparently educators have finally come to their senses and have actually gone so far as to replace all the junk food in their school cafeteria machines with actual fruit. Wow. What took so long?
