Save Women's Pro Soccer!

The players of the Women's Professional Soccer league are both amazing athletes and an inspiration for young girls across America. With our media so inundated with harmful and sexist stereotypes, having such powerful female role models is invaluable.

It would be a shame to lose this league -- a platform for some of today's most relevant role models for young girls, as the number of soccer-playing girls in America continues to grow -- in its infancy.

For young girls especially, there is no excess of female athlete role models. And in a nation plagued by obesity, eating disorders and a veritable push-pull of what it means to be a woman, the players of Women's Professional Soccer are a welcome beacon of hope.

Don't condemn the Women's Professional Soccer league and the youth who look up these players. Ask WPS CEO Dan Flynn to help Women's Professional Soccer make it through 2012 and do all he can to make sure the league sees the success we know it can achieve.
Dear Mr. Flynn,

The Women's Professional Soccer league plays an important role in showing young girls and the rest of America that women can be respected athletes and are more than the stereotypes of femininity the media frequently portrays.

Please help Women's Professional Soccer make it through 2012, and do all you can to make sure the league sees the success we know it can achieve.
