Help Children Like Adam Regain Their Childhood

In the last five years, Adam has dealt with more than anyone should in their entire life. Adam has a brain tumor, which has resulted in a severe weakness of the limbs in the left side of his body and a visual impairment, both of which affect his mobility and independence. He has undergone four brain surgeries and two years of chemotherapy.

Adam must often trade his classroom for a hospital room, and sees more doctors and nurses than children his own age. Making friends can be difficult for Adam as he is unable to join in playground games.

But things were different for Adam at a SeriousFun Children's Network camp. He met other children his own age, many of whom had the same life experiences. He was exposed to new and challenging activities that transformed him, and renewed his sense of possibility and achievement.

SeriousFun camps help kids like Adam realize that their illnesses can't limit their potential and that anything is possible. Our camps provide kids living with serious illnesses the opportunity to escape the daily challenges their illness brings, and regain their lost childhood.
