Joe Lieberman thinks an air attack against Iran as a last resort to thwart their nuclear program (and let's be honest - to protect OPEC's control of the flow of oil) is perfectly OK.Even as a last resort, it's NOT OK! We as a nation cannot afford - morally or militarily - another pre-emptive war.Tell him and the rest of Washington, DC why attacking Iran should not be on the table now or ever. NO MORE BLOOD FOR OIL!
CBS NewsFACE THE NATIONSunday, January 22, 2006 Senator Joe Lieberman, in response to a question from Bob Schieffer: We have the most powerful military in the history of the world. We are capable, if necessary, of continuing to pursue our aims militarily in Iraq and Afghanistan and elsewhere and, if necessary, conduct a military attack on Iran, hopefully with the assistance of our coalition allies in Europe. This would be primarily an air attack. It's not going to involve massive use of ground forces. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .So I want to repeat again that military option is the last option. But I want the people who lead Iran to understand that it is on the table. We deem their pursuit of nuclear weapons to be dead serious.
Keep up the great work. Look what you've accomplished!
