What do you get when you combine a giant frog and a colossal butterfly? A Care2 "FlutterFrog" took to the skies at RedBull's Flugtag competition in Portland, Oregon, on Saturday!

Using 90 percent sustainable materials, such as bamboo and hemp cloth, the Care2 staff has worked relentlessly over the past couple of months to build a 350 pound flying contraption with a frog head at the front and a butterfly wingspan of 28.5 feet. Software engineer Alex F. piloted the FlutterFrog off of a pier 24 feet above the Willamette River.

Alex and four other team members (dressed as frogs and butterflies - that's them in the photo) and push the FlutterFrog (and themselves) off the pier as judges compare them to 30 other competitors based on distance flown, creativity and showmanship.
