Take Action to Make Solar Energy Accessible for All

The solar industry is booming. But in many cases, installing solar panels is not a viable option for low-income families. Everyone has the right to do their part to help reduce air pollution and fight climate change.

That's why the Low-Income Solar Act offers grants to low-income homeowners and provides loans for community solar facilities, thus lowering barriers and making it easier for all to make the switch to clean energy for their homes. Not only would this reduce our dependence on fossil fuels and fight climate change, this would also mean more good jobs for nuestras familias.

Tell your representative to cosponsor the Low-Income Solar Act to make solar energy a viable option for all!
Dear Representative,

While the solar industry is growing, low-income families, including communities of color, are not able to fully reap the benefits. That's why your colleagues, Reps. Cárdenas, Ellison, and Lee, have introduced the Low-Income Solar Act to help lower the barrier and make solar energy affordable and accessible to all. Not only will increasing access to solar energy help us fight climate change, but it will also reduce air pollution and create thousands of jobs for communities across the country.

We're already seeing the benefits of the solar industry boom - creating jobs 20 times faster than the rest of the economy in 2014. It's time for solar energy to be accessible to all who want it. Please consider this issue of environmental justice and become a cosponsor of HR 3041, the Low-Income Solar Act.
