As Election Day Draws Near, Put Children's Health First!

Target: 2008 Presidential Candidates
Sponsored by: Children's National Medical Center

No matter what else is happening in the world, children continue to get sick - and they require treatment now.

Dedicated and caring doctors, nurses and other health professionals are working hard every day to meet their obligation to provide the best possible care to save the lives of kids in their communities. As the leader of our country, shouldn't the future President of the United States have the same conviction?

Every child everywhere deserves a long, healthy life! Sign the petition letter and remind the 2008 U.S. presidential candidates that children's health matters – and should remain a priority - in good financial times and bad.

Dear Senator Obama and Senator McCain,

As the last weeks of your presidential campaign come to a close and you work to find a solution to the current financial crisis, please do not waver in your support for the health of America's children.

Now, more than ever, the people of the United States are looking for strong leadership in our elected officials. As you make singularly important decisions about our country's financial health, I urge you to remember that investing in our country's future means investing in our children.

Thank you for your consideration, and for keeping your commitment to the health of our children.

Sincerely,
