Tell Congress: Don't Destroy our Fisheries!

Healthy fish populations are strong indicators of a healthy ocean. Coastal economies rely on a healthy ocean and coastal resources for their livelihood.

Thanks to the Magnuson-Stevens Fishery Conservation and Management Act, for the past 10 years we've seen unprecedented successes in putting an end to overfishing and rebuilding dozens of fish populations off our coasts.

But now the progress we and other ocean advocates have worked so hard to accomplish is at risk of being drastically reversed. Members of Congress are trying to end these successes and put our nation's fish populations in jeopardy. We can't let this happen!

Join us in urging Congress to stop cuts for this important law and continue to help maintain our ocean's environmental and economic health.
Dear [Member of Congress],

I support sustainable fishing practices in the United States!

Over the past 10 years, thanks to the Magnuson-Stevens Fishery Conservation and Management Act, our country has seen unprecedented successes in putting an end to overfishing and rebuilding dozens of fish populations off our coasts.

Recently, a draft bill was circulated that could end these successes and put our nation's fish populations in jeopardy.

Today, I am standing up and urging you to stop cuts to this important law — for a vibrant, healthy ocean, for those whose jobs depend on it, and for people nourished by protein from the sea.

We're fighting for a healthy ocean and healthy marine life. Please, don't destroy our fisheries.
