Stop online gaming companies from modifying items consumers have purchased using real currency!

  • by: Daemon Black
  • recipient: FTC, CEO of Perfect World Entertainment and similar online gaming Corporations that accept real currency

This petition seeks to protect online gaming consumers who purchase an item, an upgrade, or in game currency (referred to as product) from the game's developer/ publisher utilizing legal tender/ real currency.  This petition also seeks to raise awareness of this issue so that others can be informed of deceptive practices by online gaming developers who perform these kinds of actions.

The company should not make any modification to the purchased product that results in a purposeful devaluation and/or change to the inherent characteristics of the product at the time of purchase unless a condition directly related to the product impacts the ability for the game to be played.

If modifications of the product do occur for any reason compensation or refund for said product should be available to the consumers in the amount of the original purchase.
