Veero kolhi resides in jurisdiction of Police Station Husri, Sub District/District Hyderabad Sindh Pakistan, Veero Kolhi is a former slave and an abolitionist now. Veero Kolhi was awarded with Fredrick Douglas Freedom Award at southern California university LA USA in 2009. In 2013 Veero Kolhi contested General Election on Provincial Assembly seat in Pakistan against a influential candidate Sharjeel Inaam Memon of Pakistan People's Party. she is one of the most vocal human right defenders and always have raised voice against human rights violations, so far she has been instrumental in getting 35000 bonded workers rescued from the bondage of influential farm and brick kiln owners , Veero Kolhi is being victimized by local police on instigation of these influential people through indulging Veero Kolhi & her family members in false cases, Veero Kolhi Herself, Her Husband, Son and Brother in law has been jailed in false cases, in a recent attempt Husri Police attacked Veero Kolhi's home, snatched valuables, tortured Veero Kolhi and her husband and all those who came to save her on her cries. Police sent Veero Kolhi to jail, Veero Kolhi is on bail now but police is still extending threats to indulge her in other cases. Veero Kolhi is voice of poor and marginalised people by this type of police actions her work for human rights defence is being hindered. you are requested to stop the Sindh Police from victimizing veero kolhi with immediate effect.
