Don't Let Governor Snyder Steal Michigan's Rights

Michigan's new governor, Rick Snyder, is setting himself up with some radical new powers.
A new bill in Michigan, HB-4214, would not only allow the Governor to wipe out unions, it would also give him the power to eliminate any municipal government in an area he decides is in "financial stress" -- without input from voters. This means that any elected official could be fired by the Governor and replaced with an "Emergency Manager". Emergency Managers can be anyone the governor chooses, even someone with obvious corporate ties.
Democracy is about the right of the American public to choose its leaders, but Snyder's bill takes that right away from the people of Michigan.
Don't let Governor Snyder steal Michigan's right to decide who governs the state. Let him know that the people of Michigan must have the final say on their elected officials and that he must not sign the bill into law.
America is built on the practice of people choosing the elected officials who lead them. By signing this bill into law, you are destroying the democratic values that our country was built on.
