Gerald Mollen: Stop Showing My Son's Murderer in Your Campaign Ads

My son, Mario Masciarelli, and a friend of his were murdered on March 22, 2013 by the young woman's estranged husband. Mario never knew the danger he was in because he had just became friends with this young lady. My son's murderer attacked him from behind and broke a bat over his head. Living with this tragedy has been hard enough, but now my pain has been compounded because it is being used for political purposes.

Gerald Mollen, Broome County's D.A. who prosecuted my son's killer, is now running for re-election and using the face of my son's murderer in one of his campaign ads. Every time I see the face of the man who killed my son on TV or on Facebook, it feels like I am being stabbed in the gut.

This needs to stop. I have asked D.A. Mollen to stop referencing my son's killer in his commercial, but he has not complied with my request. Gerald Mollen has gone as far as blocking me from his social media pages so that I can no longer comunicate my concerns with him. I am afraid to turn on the TV or to go onto social media.

Please FROM a heartbroken mom wont you take a minute and sign this petition demanding that D.A. Gerald Mollen stop featuring my son's killer in his campaign ads.

D.A. Gerald Mollen, please stop referencing my son's murderer in your campaign commercials shown on TV and on social media.
