Dow Chemical is dumping dioxin, a known carcinogen, into the Tittabawassee River in Midland, MI, contaminating the largest watershed in Michigan. We're sending this petition to Gov. Granholm to tell her we want the dumping stopped and the mess cleaned up.
Down with Dow
Dear Governor Granholm,
The Great Lakes are part of our common heritage, and are entrusted to us to protect and restore. Clean great lakes are crucial to commerce, to tourism and to our health. The largest watershed in the Great Lakes, the Saginaw Bay Watershed, is threatened by dioxin contamination. We urge you to move quickly to comprehensively clean up this watershed and to protect and restore the Great Lakes.
