Help Fight Childhood Hunger This Summer
According to the USDA, nearly 17 million children in the U.S. suffer from food insecurity - that's more than 1 in 5 kids in your community and across the country who may struggle to thrive and fall behind in school because they don't have enough to eat. But the need doesn't stop when the last school bell rings for the year.
When school's out, these kids go without the free and reduced-price meals they depend on during the school year - the only meal some kids can count on. For these kids, summer vacation means three months without stable, nutritious meals and that means they may not have the energy to do what kids should do over the summer - play with their friends, have fun and just... be kids.
Feeding America is working to fill the gap. We need your help.
