To Honorable State Offcials,
DNREC adopted Reg 1146 for extensive clean up of the Indian River Power Plant but plant owner NRG filed suit to forestall compliance.
Every day without enforcement, we citizens breathe poisoned air from that plant which is the biggest polluter in the State of Delaware and one of the worst polluters in the US. The plant also pollutes our land and our water.
We therefore respectfully ask that the State employ every resource at its disposal to defeat this lawsuit and enforce Regulation 1146 immediately.
Furthermore, we respectfully petition the State to turn down any bid for any new coal plant to be built in this state.
