The "Pro-Life" political agenda puts Black women at risk

"Pro-Life" politicians don't trust Black women to make decisions about their lives, bodies, and families. These politicians care about protecting the lives of unborn Black babies, but once the umbilical cord is cut, they don't support policies that would allow these children and their families to live full lives.

"Pro-life" politicians oppose comprehensive sex education and access to contraception, AND affordable access to abortion care. 30% of pregnant teens in Ohio are Black, and Black Ohioans are nine times more likely to be diagnosed with HIV than whites.

These same politicians don't support a minimum living wage or affordable childcare, both of which would help Black mothers to care for their children. They don't support police accountability or justice system reforms that would reduce the incarceration rates of Black people who commit non-violent drug crimes. This tears apart families and robs rehabilitated inmates of the opportunity to be free.

"Pro-Life" politicians claim to care about Black lives, but that concern ends as soon as the umbilical cord is cut.

IT'S TIME TO END THE HYPOCRISY. Add your voice and demand an end to the hypocrisy of the "pro-life" political agenda that puts Black women's lives at risk.
