Missouri Lawmakers: Medicaid Reform Matters to Me!

Uninsured adults are our friends and neighbors in small rural towns and cities throughout Missouri. They wait tables, care for the elderly, grow produce for farmer's markets and care for our children and grandchildren.

These uninsured Missourians also get sick and need access to medical care. From preventive care like mammograms for women, to services for veterans and to emergency medical services for rural communities — Missouri needs Medicaid reform.

Expanding health insurance coverage not only helps people afford care, but it also closes a large coverage gap. Over 807,000 Missourians were without health insurance coverage in 2010. Medicaid reform would help 300,000 of these uninsured get coverage — of whom nearly 3 out of 4 are in a working family. We must take action to expand and reform Medicaid to help the hundreds of thousands in need of health care.

More than one million Missourians have already stood up to support Medicaid reform — will you join them? Please take action today and contact your lawmakers to let them know Medicaid reform matters to you!
