The outdated and inefficient Homer City coal plant in Indiana County is one of the largest polluters of harmful sulfur dioxide in the United States -- responsible for 660 asthma attacks and 43 premature deaths every year according to the Clean Air Task Force.

It is past time for General Electric (GE), the owner of the Homer City coal plant, to replace the power from this polluting behemoth with energy efficiency and clean energy.

Tell GE to replace the toxic Homer City Coal Plant with clean energy and energy efficiency!
Dear Mr. Schilling,

The outdated and inefficient Homer City coal plant is one of the largest polluters of harmful sulfur dioxide in the United States, responsible for 660 asthma attacks and 43 premature deaths every year according to the Clean Air Task Force. It is past time for General Electric, as the owner of the Homer City coal plant, to replace the power from this polluting behemoth with energy efficiency and clean energy.

Residents of Pennsylvania want to breathe clean air and continuing to run the Homer City plant is a slap in the face to everyone who has suffered unnecessarily from asthma attacks, respiratory disease, and heart attacks because of this dirty and dangerous plant.
