The Mississippi River Gulf Outlet (MRGO) was built back in 1965 and was orignally 650 feet to which now is over 2,000 feet wide and is eating at the levees of St. Bernard and Orleans Parishes. This canal will be the downfall of these two parishes. The next major hurricane could come this year or not but when it does come it will completely devistate St. Bernard and Orleans. Which then would be a watery grave for many. So listen now.... the MRGO needs to be closed as soon as possible. http://www.ccmrgo.org/ ; http://www.louisianasportsman.com/stories/2003/paradise-lost/future-of-mrgo.htm ; http://www.pianc-aipcn.org/envicom7/13%20-%20mississippi.pdf ;
