Tell the EPA their CA waiver denial is an outrage!
Target:David Ivry, Ambassador of Israel to the United States Sponsored by:Environmental Defense
The Environmental Protection Agency has denied California's waiver request to cut global warming pollution from automobiles. This decision
ignores the science and the law.
Seventeen other states plan to implement similar programs. EPA's action is nothing more than a heavy handed stroke to limit the authority of states to fight global warming and protect our environment.
It is reported that EPA Administrator Johnson's staff even recommended approving the waiver because it met all the necessary standards.
California is leading the country to fight global warming, and the EPA and Administrator Johnson are holding them back.
Send a letter today to Administrator Johnson expressing your outrage at this unfounded decision!
We took action on “Tell the EPA their CA waiver denial is an outrage!”!

Republicans have long argued the benefits of a states' rights approach to issues. But this administration, for whom you work, has shown that it only believes in states' rights when the states are prone to make decisions that it supports (often meaning decisions that its big money donors support). Please allow California to model for the rest of the states, the benefits of legislating in favor of the health of the environment and its citizens rather than in favor of corporate greed.

If most people knew how limited the EPA's power really is, they would probably run screaming into the smog-filled night and fling themselves into a sludge-filled river. Every small action represents a tiny glimmer of hope in the battle against beaurocratic hypocrisy and apathy.

There are too many cars on the road in California; we NEED to cut emissions for our own health and for the health of the planet.

States need to decide on their own laws. EPA is no longer protecting its customers. Please let each state decide their own laws. This is how it is suppose to be.
