A dog park will benefit our whole family and our community. A dog park will provide our homeschooling family the opportunity learn more, practice more, and enjoy more about the responsibility of owning a dog. Having a location within the community where our family can interact with other pet owners, where our dog can interact with other dogs will help bring together pets, families, and the community. This makes for happier pets, happier families, and a healthier community!

I am the proud owner of 2 dogs. As a local Lafayette Business owner I enjoy spreading the word about my Salon. However on days when i am not behind my chair i would like to spend it with my dogs and still be able to meet new potential clients. My dogs are my babies and just like a parent wants to take thier children to the park I too would like to take my babies someplace safe for them to run and be dogs. Lafayette needs this and i believe lafayette is finally ready for this.

I think a dog park could be a great place for dogs to learn to be social with other dogs since it would be neutral territory for all dogs. Some dogs can be very territorial when other dogs visit their homes.

Dogs and dog people need a place to interact and exercise. Dog parks are great places for people, pets and the community at large. There are no large open spaces for dogs in this community to run and play.

I don't have a dog, and don't particularly care for dogs. But I think a dog park would be great for dog owners. Especially my inconsiderate neighbors who are too lazy to pick up what their dog leaves behind in my yard.
