Recently representative Allen West told a town hall meeting in Palm City that "he's heard" 80 U.S. House Democrats are members of the Communist Party.

As Democrat Patrick Murphy said in response, "West's attempts at 21st-century McCarthyism are not only counter-productive towards the work that must be done in Congress, but further prove his complete lack of seriousness and responsibility."

Allen West is clearly more interested in creating witch hunts than representing his constituents in Congress. At the very least, Allen West needs to apologize to the people of Florida and the Representatives he has slandered.
