Deny the Gulen Movement application for a public charter school (Loudoun Math and IT Academy, LMITA)

  • by: Parents for Educational Accountability
  • recipient: Citizens of Loudoun County, Virginia; the United States; and others concerned about the Gulen Movement's attempts to infiltrate American culture and gain control of our tax dollars.

We, the undersigned, call on the Loudoun County School Board, and the Loudoun County Board of Supervisors to perform your Constitutional duties of stewarding our resources wisely. You must deny the LMITA application.

A group of Turkish-Americans, some with direct links to the Turkish Islamic Gulen Movement, want to be certified to receive Loudoun County tax dollars to pay for the costs of running a school, LMITA. The connections of the LMITA applicants with the Gulen Movement are clearly shown here:

While charter schools, and competition in education, may be positives, providing tax dollars to a religious cult is not a good thing. The Gulen Movement's deep involvement in fraudulently applying for tax dollars to run Gulen-linked schools in the US is widely reported by reliable main-stream media sources: New York Times, Washington Post, Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Philadelphia Enquirer, Maryland Gazzette, CBS's 60 Minutes, and more. Further facts, and analysis of the LMITA application, the Gulen Movement in US public charter schools, and around the world (they have schools on every continent except Antartica) are here:

Update #110 years ago
Thanks to all who fought against the Gulen charter school in Loudoun.

We won that battle.

But rest assured, Gulenists are scheming new ways to get their hands on our tax dollars.

A group of Northern Virginia local officials accepted a free trip to Turkey. The mayor of Purcellville returned full of Turkish-infused vigor, ready to fight their wars.

This is pure political influence operations, at its most basic.

What is it that the Turks want with us?
