I noticed other dogs who seemed sickly or ill-bred and mentioned this to a friend who then informed me about the puppy mill situation and the abuse which goes on there. Needless to say, my next dog was a rescue. After his passing, I did opt for a breeder with AKC dogs, but have made numerous home visits and see that her animals are kept humanely and are well socialized family members. | I feel that it goes against everything the AKC stands for. By putting your stamp of approval on abused and inbred dogs, you negate the purpose of the AKC and give your papers as much credibility as photo-copied dollar bill. |

Have the AKC stop registering puppies from puppy mills
The AKC registers puppies from puppy mills. If they continue doing this, the puppy mills will keep on breeding puppies inhumanely. This is targeted at the CEO of the AKC. Please sign to help the puppies!
