The new year lends itself to confetti, champagne and be-glittered party hats. But once these things are distant memories, the shiny new year ahead turns the mind towards thoughts of resolutions. Should you work out more? Eat better? Stop smoking? All noble goals.
But what about your romantic relationships?
If you're coupled up, you might've developed a bad pattern with your partner and not even realize it. And if you're single, there are plenty of dating habits you might have that could be improved.
New Year's resolutions often focus solely on fixing the body or the mind, but now is a great time to think about your romantic and/or sex life. Take this opportunity to consider:
* Are you right for who you're currently dating?
* Is something missing in your romantic relationships like communication, good sex, love?
* Can you be a better partner to whomever you're seeing?
* Are you dating as much as you want?
* Are you being careful about regularly and correctly using birth control?
About half of Americans make New Year's resolutions and none of the top three most common resolutions (to lose weight (19%), quit smoking (12%) and exercise more (10%)) have anything to do with relationships. So this new decade, jump start a relationship resolution revolution... tell us in the comments what YOUR relationship resolution is and whether you think you can keep it.
