Urge Oregon Prosecutor to Punish Hunter for Illegally Killing Endangered Wolf!

On October 6th, a hunter shot an endangered gray wolf while attempting to kill coyotes in Prairie City, Oregon. Now, prosecutors are deciding whether to charge him for the crime of killing an endangered animal. If found guilty, the maximum penalty carries a prison term of up to one year, and a $6,250 fine.

Though the shooting was accidental, the hunter still broke the law. Failing to punish him for his actions sends the message that wolves' lives have no value, and could enable hunters to act carelessly when hunting near wolves and other endangered animals.

Please sign the petition to urge Harney County's district attorney to punish this hunter for illegally killing an endangered wolf!
